Established in 2003, SME Gateway is a contracted capability provider to Defence, federal, state and local government clients. Our success comes from over 380 small to medium enterprise subcontracting members across Australia, who participate in our capability provisioning programs.
This has allowed Australia’s industry capability and expertise to develop as a direct result of government spending for nearly twenty years, whilst ensuring contracted capability is underwritten by our extensive network; incorporating some 8,000 skilled, experienced and security cleared individuals.
With a successful track record and a long history of meeting client needs, SME Gateway provides an opportunity for our contracting members to benefit from shorter industry entry times, whilst our Defence and government clients enjoy improved value for money, lower risk and far greater resource depth.
SME Gateway is listed on a number of Defence and government pre-qualified supplier panels, across multiple skill sets and locations, ensuring our members receive numerous opportunities to bid for work each month.
This provides Defence and government clients an opportunity to engage with specialist SME resources through a single, streamlined and cost effective mechanism.
Our business development team also work consistently in identifying new and ongoing opportunities to supply capability through new panels, panel extensions, bespoke Defence and government programs, along with assisting corporate entities who engage in programs of record or major supply programs.
SME Gateway is continually seeking new member businesses who can bring bespoke, timely and cost effective capabilities to Defence and government clients, via our contracted capability programs.
This allows new businesses to potentially have a faster route to operating in Australia’s Defence industry, whilst established businesses can source additional revenue from new income sources whilst maximising the efficiency of their sales efforts.
In addition, SME Gateway can sponsor security clearance subjects who work on our contracted programs, meaning you deal with a single entity to achieve all elements of compliance.
